Oakhill Garden Center, located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its operations with the introduction of new product and service offerings.

We are a growing, creative and  team focused on helping people create stylish and sustainable outdoor living environments. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the establishment of a retail garden center, and as such, the Company is seeking creative, energetic, customer-focused and operations-minded individuals to join Oakhill Garden Center.


• Embracing the vision of Oakhill Garden Center and engaging in the development and execution of its mission and strategies;
• Ensuring customer delight with our services, products and people;
• Development and execution of marketing and merchandising plans, budgeting, and financial performance goals;
• Management of purchasing and inventory; including pricing, stocking and maintenance of plant materials and related green and hard goods;
• Personnel management, training and scheduling of up to 4 employees;
• Development and management of operational systems and policies; and
• Facilities management

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:

• Possess a positive, can-do, creative, solution-oriented attitude and be keenly focused on customer needs and experiences, industry trends and innovations;
• Desire to create a delightful, meaningful and rewarding environment for both customers and employees;
• Successful, proven management experience at a retail nursery or garden center with similar responsibilities as described above;
• Excellent knowledge of plant materials and their management;
• Highly organized and detail oriented;
• Ability to work independently, and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously;
• Flexible style with strong self discipline and self motivation;
• Proven ability to develop, manage and lead a team to achieve company goals and vision;
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs; integrated POS, inventory and merchandising systems; and related reporting to manage inventory, sales and P&L;
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outside in all types of weather
• At least 3 years experience in a retail nursery management position; and
• Educational background, training and certifications as applicable.
